Service and calibration of the Light Weight Deflectometer (LWD)
Calibration ensures the precise and correct functioning of the Light Weight Deflectometer according to the specifications of the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) . In addition, the standard-compliant construction and the function of all components from mechanics to measurement technology to the storage of the measurement data on their desired storage medium are checked and adjusted if necessary.
After successful calibration, a sticker with the stated validity of the calibration of one year (similar to the TÜV sticker) is affixed to the load plate, drop weight and measuring computer.

Calibration protocol now available online
ZORN's calibration reports have been available online since October 2024. You will receive the corresponding QR code directly on your device, the invoice and the delivery note.
The link to the calibration report always remains the same over the service life of the device. This means that future logs can also be accessed via this link. So you can access it at any time and from anywhere!
Tested is not calibrated!
Ensure that calibration is carried out in accordance with TP BF-StB Part B 8.4 (2016 edition). This must be noted accordingly on the calibration report in order to be able to prove the correct function of the device with legal certainty!
The calibrations performed in our company or by ZORN service partners fulfill this requirement.
ZORN Calibration
An in-house calibration stand approved by the BASt according to TP BF – StB Part B 8.4 makes it possible to calibrate Light and Medium Weight Deflectometers in-house in Stendal, Germany. As such there are short channels between production, servicing and calibration. This situation makes possible quick service and short waiting times.
Calibration partners world wide
You can send your LWD to us in Germany for calibration or to one of our calibration partners worldwide. They have a ZORN calibration stand and the necessary expertise for maintenance and calibration.
