ZORN INSTRUMENTS manufactures using highly precise CNC machines; we manufacture small and large series of components made of metal and plastic. We use 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines. As a consequence we can manufacture milled CNC parts of any complexity. All components manufactured can be further post-processed upon request (e.g. coating, heat treatment).

Quantity: Small and large series with hundreds of thousands of parts manufactured Size: Any size within our possibilities - see our list of machinery! Tolerance: The standard machining tolerance of most CNC machines is from 0.02 to 0.1 mm. The machining tolerances can be adapted to the needs of the customer if necessary. CNC milling: we normally use 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling centres.

CNC milling is a computer-aided manufacturing technology. Here a milling cutter is used to remove material from a solid workpiece. The types frequently occurring in industry are for instance:

• 3-axis CNC milling machines (X,Y,Z orientation)
• 5-axis CNC milling machines (X,Y,Z + A – rotation around the X-axis, B – rotation around the Y-axis)
